Birds-eye view

A survey of the St. Johns River was needed to check on the status of the algal bloom that occurred late summer/early fall. Since the mosquito season was winding down, Mosquito Control graciously offered to fly EQD to check on the river, and I got to go take the photos.

The helicopters for Mosquito Control are small, light and nimble. They are kept on pallets and moved around by a John Deer "tractor". The pilot is unhooking the tractor after positioning the helicopter on the pad for take-off.
